Hopefully they bring back "Thats My Bush" after the smack down over in Iraq then itll be a show down vs. ferinheight 911 did anyone realize how the day of the towers "911" THEY CANCELLED THE SITCOM OF GEORGE W now thats what I call goverment interaction. Why coundnt they stop a stupid movie ????

It’s against my better judgment, but I couldn’t resist posting something.
My memory is a bit fuzzy, remembering back to the days after the first gulf war… Didn’t the original inspectors have a hard time finding banned weapons at first, until finally some key Iraqis defected and told them where to look? After that, didn’t they find a bunch of 55 gal drums full of chemicals buried, among other stuff?
If I recall correctly, weren’t the inspectors stalled at a military installation, later to catch a gas centrifuge (can be used to enrich uranium) on film as it left on a semi out the back, while shots were fired over the inspectors?
Didn’t Iraq expel the inspectors shortly after that? All the while periodically firing on patrols over the no fly zone?
Our reaction to these violations of the peace agreement? NOTHING… To help me recall, wasn’t it during this time frame people were talking about Wag the Dog, and something about a cigar and an intern? If our leadership at that time wasn’t preoccupied with other issues, and we would have taken military action back then, the nexus between violation of the peace agreement and our action would have been more clear.
Without commenting on Clinton's actions, I would have to say that perhaps the previous rule requiring law suits of a sitting president be set over until the president leaves office was a good idea.
Anyway, my point: I’m not intending to anger anyone, and this is just my opinion, but my feeling is that Bush largely inherited a mismanaged and ignored Iraq problem, and I think he really did what he felt was the right decision given the situation that was handed to him.
I’m not sure if I was in his shoes if I would have invaded when he did, or not, and this is sure to be a topic which will polarize reasonable minds on both sides.
At least the one thing people on both sides of the issue seem to have learned from recent history (like Vietnam) Whether you like the President's actions or hate him, SUPPORT THE TROOPS.
EDIT: In retrospect, I didn’t want this to sound partisan: I supported the 1st gulf war, but think George Sr. made a serious error in judgment by not removing Sadam at that time, so there’s blame on both sides of the isle.
