Imagine my joy...
when the O/H read 24.1mpg after a 375 mile trip.
I mean I went from Sea Level to 5200', down to 4000', up to 7300', down to 6200' then up to 7700', then up to 8650' then finally back to Sea Level.
How could this 7k+ vehicle attain such fuel economy? Impossible I say, but the O/H wouldn't lie to me, would it? Nah, no way.
Filled up this morning.
Hand-calc to confirm the wonderful Fuel Economy I just witnessed.
17.42mpg
Still pretty darn good, eh?
Highway 50 to Ice House, Ice House to 50 and to Stateline, Stateline to home via 89/88.
Nice weather, 96 degrees and pouring rain with lightning at Ice House. Tahoe was 86 degrees sprinkling, 2 miles up 89 from Meyers it was 57 degrees and hailing.
Best part of the trip?
Range Rover V-8 HSE (License Plate SEEULTR *See you later*)
He was wrong, I didn't see him later after leaving him in a cloud of smoke on a passing lane stretch between Kyburz and Strawberry for hindering the flow of me.

Who's your Daddy now!! LoL!! Only one. 80+yo who bought a Duramax three years ago and has been regretting it. Should have listened to his son. He has had eight trips to the dealer to try and fix a power surging problem and he cant get near the mpg we do. However, he has pulled more deer out of Ice House than anybody else I know.
