Of course it is your fault. Because as mentioned you bought it, you said she could drive it or even without your permission you left the keys for her to find. Be glad your married and she can't sue you, just think about McDonalds and coffee.

Not quite true,,,,,,,
When my wife backed my truck out of the driveway and into the neighbors mailbox that I had warned and warned and warned everybody about after almost getting it myself,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, she never once put the blame on anyone but herself,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that is until she found out I wasn't going to go ballistic.

She calls me up and says. "Don't worry, everyone is fine, its not that bad, ...............I hit a tree going into the driveway,.............I was going very slow, but It damaged the truck". I say O.K. how bad? ........Dead silence.............................Your **** truck is fine, and so am I if you care!!!! Click.

My solution was to jack the truck up to a point that she can't get in without a step ladder, and therefore she can't drive it!

She isn't really into jewlery, she wanted a heavy bag for her birthday. I do need to do something though. She is Mexican, and a black belt........best to solve this one quick. Anyone with a line on Cuban cigars? She is a big fan.

Yeah.....female black belt....had to spar one of those a couple of times....I mean what can a guy do in that situation....best to watch your step before she claims self defense ....Get her flowers, say I am sorry, tell her how glad you are that she is ok and you don't care about the truck...then shut your mouth and wait...she will be OK in a couple of hours....she maybe a tough woman, but she still wants to be treated like a lady.....my $0.02 - JKE
