Saw a 10" tach on the shelf at Auto Zone the other day.....couldn't believe it was still on the shelf......
I see 'em on the freeway all the time......still can't figure out why they have a monster tach that doesn't work and the stock dash tach that does.
Tach has to be good for at least 4-5 horsepower

See, the spoiler on the back MIGHT make sense if they were street racing around lots of turns at 70-150 mph because they'd have downforce on the rear tires to prevent spinning out...but they're only drag racing most of the time.

You might be a Ricer owner if...
Your muffler is louder than your stereo.
Your stereo has more power than your car.
More than half your windows are covered with stickers.
The wing/spoiler on your car has more lift than an airplane.
You spend more money on your car in a week than your girlfriend per year.
Your car has more neon than the local quickie mart.
You cross speed bumps at an angle to avoid getting stuck.
You can fit a watermelon or any large fruit in your tailpipe.
You put NOS stickers on your car, thinking it will go faster.
You have high performance wipers.
You spend twice the cost of a real sports car modifying your four cylinder.
You have to stop to see if your stereo is on because of the muffler.
You talk to your car more than your friends or family.

Dang, to think that I might have been a "ricer" before its time.... My ricer was a 1970.5 DATSUN 240Z decked out with BFG 60 series radial TA's on 8" Vector wheels, a Pioneer stereo cranking out 100 amps through Jensen speakers (home made enclosure mounted under hatchback) and the coux de gras "CHEVY 327 mated to a TH400 auto transmission". My home made Scarab would blow the doors off of most every muscle car that wanted to play line jump or 35 stomp. Boy I miss that little jewel. But then that was way back in 77, so I guess I have aged gracefully by growing into my CTD.
