I got to visit a very unusual restauraunt this weekend
My wife and I got invited to Atlanta this past weekend to celebrate my birthday along with my buddy's, which is this week. His wife mentioned going to a medieval dinner theater on the north side of Atlanta. We've never been to one so what the heck, sounds like fun. It was an understatement, this place is a blast! Be sure to get there a little early so you can walk around and look at the trinkets. Who knows, you may just get that suit of armor you've always wanted. If you've got little ones, or big kids you just want to embarrass a little, sign them up to be knighted by the king before the show starts. There were several little ones there that had on period costumes and they were a treat to see having fun. One word of advice, wash your hands before you get seated! Once you get seated you're in for a little surprise, no silverware. You'll eat with the utensils you brought, you're fingers. There are also instructions that come with dinner so pay attention to your wench. If you would care for something from the bar, you'll have to get it yourself or wait for the bar wench to make the rounds. I'd wait, they were pretty prompt and you really don't want to miss any of the show.
About the show, knights fighting with swords, lances and maces, jousting on some truly beautiful horses, games of skill and all to give you a great night to remember. Flash pictures didn't work well most of the time because of the netting and the smoke, but the video did. (read the information and warnings on their website located in terms and conditions)
If you've never been, or just want to have a great date night or family night, gather up some friends and go. The venue is called Medieval Times and the Atlanta location is in the metro at 5900 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, Georgia. They've got 9 locations, mostly on the eastern side of the US and one in Canada. Here's a little video clip from their web page.

Eating with my fingers makes it just like home cooking.
Sounds like a fun meal. I have heard that the food is actually pretty tasty too.

Read that heading and the first thing I thought was "What? One that would serve you?"
Glad you had a good time! Didn't know you were still celebrating birthdays at your age or I'd have wished you a happy one!

I love the idea of calling my server "wench"...
I call my wife "brujas".... (pronounced Broo Ha) It means "witch" in spanish....
If you want to see some really interesting reactions, go to a spanish restaurant, and tell them you'd like some "comida por me brujas antiqua"
They just start cracking up ....

There is no G. There is no G. Repeat after me, THERE IS NO G!
Ahh soon as you started talking about the events I knew. I haven't been but always wanted to go. There's one here in Dallas. Gotta get a group together.

Sausage Aficionado (In training)
Oh man, I wouldn't even call my wife 'wench' in my head. She would find out somehow and then we would learn the answer to the questions 'Can she reload faster than I can bob and weave?'........
