I don't know who else to ask, so I'll ask you guys...

Don't sweat the time. I knew my wife only a few years and technically "dated" only 8 months before we got married. This May will make 13 years for us.
I know people that dated 4 years and the marriage lasted less than 2.
On another note; Joint funds, BEST thing you can do. I just laugh at these people that have separate checking account, "I pay for this, she pays for that" Nonsense, doesn't matter who makes what, who pays for what, you are a team.
Life is short, no sense in waiting around for the next thing to happen or not happen.

Anything that comes in a plastic dome like bubble at the supermarket, or as a price in Cracker Jack box will suffice. Shoot, it's the thoguht that counts! She loves you, right?

course she does, I'd feel cheap, plus she has cheap taste. As you stated it's the thought that counts, thats what matters to her too...One of the many reasons we get along so well. Materialism sucks.

Diamonds are tough to shop for, I used to take my sister in law out with me for that job. I know you can get a pretty stone for right around a G, anything more and you are showing off, much less and she will need to carry a magnifying glass for mom-mom to be able to admire it.
