how to PSI wash white vinyl house?
house was built last July, and still has construction dust on it.
got some light "mold" looking stuff on it.
my electric psi washer won't cut it.
put some castrol degreaser (purple gallon jug) and some dish detergent in sprayer.
(can only squirt cleaner mix - not psi wash with it)
sprayed that on, let sit ~20 minutes, came off pretty decent without having to bear down.
buddy work said straight Clorox, and then could rinse it off with water hose, use a garden sprayer to put on, let sit, then rinse.
what's better?
i've found it's easier to ask you guys, and let somebody tell me, than for me to be bullheaded and re-invent the wheel. not that i'm REALLY bullheaded. but just a bit...
saves me time i can spend reading the Book.

Being in the landscaping business, I am often asked to clean decks, driveways, and yes houses. I found that bleach works great to remove mold and mildew, but do yourself a favor and go rent and pressure washer. If you just rinse it with the hose, you don't get everything and it just comes right back. I have a couple of machines and the one I use for small jobs or vinyl siding (due to the lowered PSI) is a machine that outputs 2500 PSI @ 4.75 GPM. My Larger unit is just too much for siding, it also tends to remove paint (4000 PSI @5.2 GPM @ 200*+), not to mention it is on a trailer of its own. If you rent a unit, a 3000 psi unit is fine you just may have to either be careful or back off a bit. Hope this helps you.

Small-small areas you should be able to spray it with x-14 or mil-don't. Larger areas bleach like your buddy said will work. The only problem with all three is the bleach part. Make sure you saturate the ground with clean water after your done or you may track it in on your carpet and you know what bleach does to fabric.
On my RV awning I used a cleaner I got from the RV dealer to clean mold off of the awning before. I mixed it with water in a bucket and brushed away then rinced with water. It worked well.

Yah gotta be careful with a bigger pressure washer
My last house had vinyl siding and when I brought home my 11hp honda washer I figured what a great way to use my new toy for the first time... wash the house and first pull of the triger blam!! strips of vinyl siding all over the yard Put the siding back on scrubbed it with a brush like always

i have a 18 HP Kohler pressure washer (4500 PSI). like everyone else has said, bleach works great and then use the pressure washer to rinse it off. i have to throttle mine down and use a 45* tip so not to remove one of the walls from the house. with a 0* tip it will poke holes through concrete and remove parts of your body.

Like previously stated bleach is the product. I like to use a soft brush with an extension handle to lightly scrub the surface. The pressure washer will work but won't always get it all and ypu don't want to blast it too closely with the vinyl siding. I would get a pressure washer with a chemical injector ( a heated one works best) and apply the bleach then use a soft brush with extension handle to lightly scrub. Then go over it with the pressure washer again.

I use a commercial house wash, brushing it on with an telescoping RV brush, then power wash it off using the "fan" tip and the engine running just above idle. As others have said, be really careful. You can go thru it very easily.

I was washing a combine off one day with one of those TORNADO tips, and was standing up on top by the cab, when I run that sucker past my feet by acident, and went right thru my boot! I just got a pipeing hot injection of water shot into my boot and now my toes are boiling!! Well, I lost my balance, and to avoid falling in the hopper on top of the feed auger, I jumped down to the ground, broke my leg, and had 2nd degree burns on my foot!

doodah!!! ROFL
bad part is, used to rent a gas one to do my pool, and i ALWAYS make my kids do stuff, just so they know.
sure enough, kid was doing pool deck for her b-day party, right over her foot.
big welt & mess for months. prolly still scarred.
this joint is almost 2 story's, so i ain't about the scrubbing. gonna put the clorox in the sprayer, spray around the house, then come back and psi wash it off.
it don't come off with that, it's permanent!
and thanks for the carpet tip. that's good info for folks like Doodah.
you can use liquid shoe polish if you get it on the black carpet in your car.
ask me how i know....
thanks for all the advice, guys.
