Not a firefighter but I'm on the board of directors for the Chadwick Rural Fire District. We are responsible for hauling everyone that gets injured out of the Chadwick Motorcycle use area of the National Forest as well as the normal duties for the district. Oh Can't forget search and rescue missions at the Bar K Wrangler Camp when people get lost in the mountains while trail riding. Happens every year. GPS's aren't that expensive last time I checked.

USN Damage Controlman - 1987 to 2007. Volunteer/paid (both apply).
Served in every position available from simple hoseman to running the show. Shipboard fires, flightdeck, training leader/coordinator, rescue and salvage team, etc ...

I think I have it all out of my system these days ... not even interested in a volunteer department position anymore. Sure do appreciate those who do though !!

I am about to go to blinn College to study fire science for two years and then after that if there is a academy or something i will go to that but i am planning on becoming one and i plan to make a career of it. I love it and right now i am a volunteer at Leona Fire and Rescue.

no station currently, was paid call ff, EMT-2, ARMY MP, Military Hasmat Specialist, so now I'm in the oilfields of Colorado playing with gas and no matches allowed
