How many drain your air tanks?

It might be wise to do what us scuba divers do with our tanks. Once a year they have to pass a internal visual inspection. Every five they have to pass a hydrostatic test. One of the biggest reasons tanks fail is internal corrosion. A visual inspection would be wise.

draining the water out is good, blowing off the pressure for no reason isn't. The prosses of compressing air it was drives the moisture out of it, once the gene is out of the bottle the air is dry, so every time you refill it your replacing the water as well. With the high pressure in the tank, water drained off your tank will rust less than with nothing in it, becasue it will be dryer.
