How far above sea level are you? (Physically, not mentally)
I'm sitting at 27 feet above sea level right now. Was at about one foot above last night down at the river which is right up from the Chesapeak bay which is pretty much sea level if I got it figured right.

Unless you've taken into consideration the inflow and outflow the tides, your sea level may be different, BUT for the purpose of this conversation, you're pretty close as am I as I live on a Bay as well. My castle (delusions of grandeur) is about 50 feet above the AVERAGE water level in the Bay which is part of the Puget Sound which eventually becomes part of the Pacific Ocean. We're surrounded by minor hills, generally less than 5,000 feet so when the big tidal tsunami eventually hits, after it wipes out Vancouver Island (No small task) I'm toast. In the meantime, we look towards one of the sleeping giants (Mt. Baker) (One of the sister volcanoes to Mt St. Helens and Mt Rainer) to cover us in lava and volcanic ash. I'm sure that's more than you wanted to know. Now, you got me curious, what brought this one, reflections on the Bay?? It's Friday, finally. Now if I can think of a good reason to sneak out of work early ........

~Dave

Well I be at 6200 feet. I am sure there are some other CO or UT owners pushing 10000 feet

NWDave: Just starting conversation. My castle (also a dream, more like shack) is about 127 feet above mean tide. It is so flat around here that if the river ever gets to me, we better start looking for the ark, it's all over. No known volcanoes but there is a fault line about 75 miles up the road a ways. Never can tell.
Interesting little place you live in there. Got any good geothermal heat supplies around close?

Approximately 830 feet above sea level. I live on a 200 foot bluff overlooking Lake Michigan.

At 3200 ft the wild turkeys, Bambi and her Big Bad Father Buck,
racoons, black bear, grey squirrels, and cougars roam. At the snowline of the Sierra we get just enough white stuff each storm to remind us what it is. We have 5 kinds of Oak, Pondersoa Pine, Manzanita, Douglas Fir, White Fir, Madrone.

Did live right on the Bay at Coos Bay , Good view but .... got tired of wind and fog . I moved N about 5 miles from the bay and I'm about 450 or so, feet now, protected from wind , and maybe 5 min from the dunes, which we ride across to the ocean to go beach combing after a storm.

750 feet in Sturbridge, MA and I swear this morning with the snow I think a hundred feet of it was from the bottom of my driveway up to the road. :

I have a brother in Brattleborough, Vt. and he says the four seasons up there are June, July, August, and Winter. Been there two times, beautiful but if I wanted to live like that, I'd just dump the house and live in the fridge.

When the tide is in (on the way to work), I get sea foam on the tires. I don't know who the engineering marvel was that designed the road so darn close but I wish he would've built a carwash while he was at it to keep the salt in check.

PISTOL
