how big is your TV? why? does it matter?
my wife finally got a nice wood entertainment center,
and it fits our 32 "old style" CRT TV great, looks great, nothing the matter with it.
but every time we go to someone's house, thier TV is HUGE and she says she wants one.
and i say "you gotta get rid of the entertainment center"
but now, my friends are coming to my house, and saying, "wow, a 32 DOES look small!!"
i say as long as what you have works, no need to upgrade, right!?

I always said the same thing and finally my 32" started having little problems...I ran out and bought my 52 HD Sony Wega and gave my 32" to my nephew (which he fixed for $25.00)
For me it was a matter of justifying the purchase. I can afford anything I want but couldn't see replacing something that worked just fine. Now looking back I wish I had gone HD sooner
If you do go bigger be sure to get the size that fits your room. The 52" needs you to be an optimum 10-12 ft from the screen, A larger one is even further and they look blurry if you are too close.

I have a 51" HDTV. Not the plasma or LCD type, but the older CRT. I like it but over time I've learned that it's really not a big deal because I don't watch TV that much. If I had to do it all over again, I would get a smaller screen like a 42 or something. The 51 is too big for my house.

46 inch Sony rear projection HD here - I love it and will continue to own HD tv's, even though I don't watch that much - it makes a big difference in the sporting events I do watch - my next one will be bigger, and probably a flat panel of some kind, but I can't justify the cost yet...

I have a 36" Sony HDTV Monitor (CRT). I bought it because at the time HD was still new and most things being broadcast were still 4:3. When it dies I will go to a TV in the high 40s or low 50s. Step up, get her what she wants... it's only money!

Dodgezilla I probably have the same TV as you do. Its a good TV, but I don't really watch TV that much. However when you watch the Baja 1000 in hi-def widescreen you sure are glad you got it .

62" Samsung DLP here. Our house doesnt have a formal living or dining room. Our "great" room is basically one giant room(about 35x30) with the kitchen, dining area and living room. So we can be in the kitchen and watch tv, it is nice to be able to actually see it.

Jeez!
For about 5-6 years I had a 19", and it started acting up, so I upgraded to a 27" about a year ago.
I don't watch TV other than a movie or two a week (Netflix). I don't have cable or anything like that. I have an antenna on the roof so I can get PBS on Saturday to watch the woodworking shows.
