Hey everybody. Lots of action in here. Everybody is moving around. We found a house and signed the lease yesterday. We have to wait for HOA to do their thing. But one major step closer.
Tallguy, I keep threatening DH that I am going to stay in Tx and keep the dog lol

Good morning all y'all.
Shorts - that is good news, I would hate to have heard that you were living out of the back seat of your truck.
Today is going to be a long day that will result in sore muscles, it is potato harvest day. Our potato rows in garden are 150' long. We have 5 rows of Yukon Gold spuds to harvest. Our ground is not gentle sand and loam, there is a lot of clay. A digging fork never lasts more than 3 years here The spuds are most awesome and definitely worth the work, but it doesn't feel like that an hour before you start the work.
Have a good day all y'all and play safe.
Tallguy out.

Good evening all y'all. It is official, harvesting spuds is hard work. I am 6' 7" of sore muscles. Even worse, this year's spud harvest was the worst ever. We kind of expected it so it wasn't a total shock, but it still bites. DieselDave2 lives about 45 minutes from me and he harvested his spuds a week or so ago and his yield was way down from normal. We got less than half our normal yield - some plants only produced one potato!! I am hearing that it is this way all over southern Alberta and we run a hobby farm so we don't make any income from the spuds so it is no real big deal but it still sucks.
On the flip side, the zukes and squash are still producing like crazy. We just gave 20 lbs of squash and zukes to our vet. She and her family are happy.
Supper tonite will be beef and the first acorn squash of the year. You have to love food so fresh that it is in your stomach within an hour of being on the plant.
Cougar, sorry about your truck, did you hit a vehicle or a moose?

ShortsTry to not let them know how nuts you are until after the HOA approval.
Still $4.54 at the cheap station close to the refinery. Since they are pulling the oil from practically under my house you would think we would get a deal.
I wound up with a lot of stuff but unfortunately most of it is over 30 years old. Some of it way older.
This is our sixth year without the garden. I miss it.
Seems like you travel more in a week than you used to in a year. Same with Rick. I would forget where I was.
Dang!! I just hoped you were enjoying the summer. When did that happen and did anybody get hurt?
Glad you are home safe. Are you getting thinner or is Jake getting bigger?
