Evening guys, gals and dribbling newbies.
There's some funny stuff going on in here and OMG........the lies being perpetrated by some of you.
This morning I was to have a nerve conductivity study bone on my left leg. We're looking for the source of the tingling and swollen feelings I've been having with it. If you've never had a nerve conductivity study done, I highly recommend getting one, just for the fun of it. What a joy to start my morning off with someone shooting electricity through my leg making it flop uncontrollably on the bed. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, they bring out the needles and start all over again! Wow, what a ride! Now I know why Buzz Lightyear stuttered sometimes. You haven't lived until somebody sticks a 2 1/2 inch needle in your leg and back and hooks you up to the auxiliary generator.
After getting a clean bill of health and a Dynamo action figure I was off to lunch and then the chiropractor. As soon as the initial exam was over it was back to the generator with 4 pads hooked to my back. The ones on the left felt pretty good but the ones on the right were using their mutant little claws to pull the hair out of my back, one at a time. A mere 20 minutes later I was being fitted for a seat at the back crackers amusement park. Boy, the toys they have would make a midevil dungeon master get giddy in one turn of the screw. All in all, the visit went so well that the doctor invited me back on Wednesday to take another crack at my wallet.
After that, it was time to meet the wife. But first................... I started talking diesels with a fellow in the parking lot outside the Doctor's office. OK, 30 minutes later I'm headed half way across town to meet the wife and the lady who owns Under the Shield. We were to meet over dinner and discuss a few things but we missed the connection, right restaurant, wrong locations. Oh well, next time's a charm, right?
So today today has been a long one but it's not over yet. I almost lost my wife this evening and there was nothing I could do to stop it! On the way home, I was following her and all was well until 3 miles from our exit. Just after making the merge from 459N to 59N an 18 wheeler passed us both on the right shoulder at the end of the merge. He cleared me but started to move over on her. Fortunately, the weather was so cool tonight she had the windows down and that helped her to hear him as he approached. She managed to swerve left and avoid the collision only because the left lane was empty. The trucker never touched a brake. Once he was clear of her and she moved back into the right lane, I fell in behind the truck. I had to work the phone through 2 counties and 4 local jurisdictions, 31 freaking miles before I could get a marked unit up to this guy and get him stopped and then it was small town local, not DOT. The officer was a good guy, understood my feelings but would not let me even talk to the driver. I guess I understand, not mad at him. I did get him to deliver a message to the driver and I'm pretty sure that even with the language impairment, he knows just how lucky he is to be driving away. I didn't get the satisfaction I wanted but at least we're all safe at home now.

Well didn't YOU have an adventure filled and fun packed day? Glad you're both still alive!
Morning all.
Today is Tuesday, September 28th.
On this day in 1781 - During the Revolutionary War, American forces began the siege on Yorktown, VA.
1787 - The U.S. Congress voted to send the new Constitution of the United States to the state legislatures for their approval.
1850 - The U.S. Navy abolished flogging as a form of punishment.
1850 - U.S. President Millard Fillmore named Brigham Young the first governor of the Utah territory. In 1857, U.S. President James Buchanan removed Young from the position.
1924 - The first around-the-world flight was completed by two U.S. Army planes when they landed in Seattle, WA. The trip took 175 days.
1939 - During World War II, Germany and the Soviet Union agreed upon a plan on the division of Poland.
1974 - First Lady Betty Ford underwent a mastectomy to remove a lump in her breast.
2000 - The U.S. Federal Drug Administration approved the use of RU-486 in the United States. The pill is used to induce an abortion.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you’ve ever stared at a can of frozen orange juice because it said ‘concentrate’, you might be a good fit here in the breakroom.
Coffee's on.

I'm doing what I can but it's going to go no where. He lives in Al but is licensed out of Fl. He'll be illegal or on a bogus license. I've got a bud south of town that has a friend in ICE. That will be my best shot I think.
You and me both Claude.
Morning gang. Hey Blake, you scared me. Did you mean to say Conner lost 3 pounds? That would make him a chip off the old block for sure losing almost half his body weight.

The weather is really strange up here. Now we are breaking record highs...which is nice for a change. Heading to towards 90 today, all the leaves changed color in one day and now falling like mad. My flooded lane is going to get some attention after a group of us 7 neighbors all called the City, our counsellor and the city legal dept.
Turns out the plow operator was not doing his job correctly and out there somewhere are three sewer drains. One at each end and one in the middle, all covered. So there is going to be some extensive grading and at least another 12" of gravel brought in this week for the entire lane. As the city manager for lanes told me; "Its not even close to what it should be for slope and grade."
Rick, bzzzzz zzzzzzap, glad you and your wife are ok. I have seen my share of the not so good commercial drivers.

You're gonna move? Where to? Canada so you can be closer to your pal Scotty?
Well DUH!
Which explains why you and Rick have both had that test!
Afternoon all. Just got done with one school. 1400 kids between yesterday and today. Going to a school in NH tomorrow for another 400. Then back to town for a small private school Thursday. Friday off... for now.
