K plus 2/5 is greater than 56???? Dang, I guess anything to the right????
I hope you do better than me with that one, algebra never did too much for me. All different kinds of numbering I can handle, grey code, boolean, binary, hex and stuff, but never did too good using the alphabet to cipher.

K>55 3/5
You just subtract the 2/5 from both sides of the equation...
The goal is to get the variable ('K') by itself...
Whatever you do to one side you have to do to the other...
So basically what you do is as follows:
1. K+(2/5)>56
2. -2/5 -2/5 (Subtract 2/5 from each side.)
3. K+0>55 3/5
The direction of the sign doesn't change unless you divide or multiply by a negative number, under which case it changes direction.
So then you just graph it on the number line... Just shade in anything to the right of 55 3/5 on the number line...
Since it is only a 'greater than' symbol and not a 'greater than or equals to' symbol, then you put a clear circle on the 55 3/5, then draw a dark line to the right. Put an arrow at the end of your shaded line to indicate that ALL numbers above 55 3/5 are included.
