Runco makes a dandy, marantz, and even the sharp. Unfortunately for 2000 you really won't be getting much. I wouldn't spend less than 4-6k, anyless and you'd be better off with a high end rear projection.

You might also check Faroudja. They are a pioneer in front projection, and presently have a couple of DLP (digital light prorocessor) projectors out on the market. DLP, is the only way to go IMO. You may already know this, but the bulbs for front projectors are still way up there in price, and a few guys that have them where I work (a consumer audio/video manufacturer) say it isn't ideal for nightly TV watching. Most use them in a dedicated theater for movies and special shows.

I've run a Mitsu XD200 for the last 20 months & put ~2500 hours on it. I've spent about $400 in one bulb. Like mentioned before, you MUST get DLP and, if possible, a Faroudja video processor. The DLP makes the image displayed muct clearer and looks a ton better than a comparable LCD. Mine's 2000 lumens in brightness, I wouldn't recommend too much less (1700+) because as the bulb gets used, it gets noticably dimmer. My experience with Mistubishi projectors has been excellent.
