A .50 cal 8 times, then chasing him for hours, and finally a point blank shot.

Why is it that most (not all) trophy hunters have their picture taken far away from the animal? Not denying the size of this hog, but look how far behind the boy is kneeling. Flip thorough any Safari Club Int'l magazine (or others like it) and you will see this technique is rampant.

Its all about the trophy. I seriously doubt a boar that big would taste anywhere near decent, or even be chewable.

it is depth perception. it makes the animal look that much bigger than you. anyone who is a true hunter knows that this thing is nothing more than a "smiley". true WILD hogs do not get that big. he was a domestic pigs that has gotten loose and got very big. he was domesticated at one time or he is one generation off of a domestic pig.

Next time you take a pic of a fish hold the fish out at arms length towards the camera and hold a beer/pop can in the other hand close to you body then take one with beer/fish close together and look at the difference You'll become the great white fisherman instantly.

wow, those negative comments on his webpage are ridiculous!!! its funny that no one ever comments on how 'evil' a tiger must be for eating its own defenseless offspring or a duck for abandoning its own duckling, but will jump all over this 11 year old's hunt. but thats a completely different subject to get into.

nonetheless, that thing is huge!!

Im not sure about Alabama, but in Oklahoma, any pig out of a pin for 5 days is considered feral and thus legal to hunt.
