HF Limited Lifetime Warranty
Bought a tail pipe spreader 2 years ago, used it once, and threw it in the drawer. Son used it last week and one of the cones broke. It looks brand new except for the broken part.
Took it back, and found out the limit is 90 days. Got upset, and thrown out of the store, saving me from buying more HF junk.
Maybe I'll learn.

I guess they know the lifetime of their tools...
I've had pretty good luck with their stuff, got to have low expectations. They're good because they keep things in stock most places around me dont. I recently made a little crane for lifting logs into the back of my truck, got their 2500lb atv winch for $50 and it's worked flawlessly so far. Picked up a 1k lb generator a few months ago. I definetly don't stand under the loads though...just in case.

I'm thinking if I complain to corporate, I might be able to get the manager in trouble.
I have to admit I've had decent luck with their stuff. Wire feed welder, welds like a $600 US welder for $175. 4 KVA generator does a good job of making the coffee and recharging the fiver batteries when I'm boondocking. Cheap bent wrenches and crow foots do a good job getting at the VE pump stuff, etc.
I think the thing that set me off was the snotty attitude of the checkout girl, and the judgmental attitude of the manager.
I don't get mad, I get even.

Too funny.
they had extended warranty's on their cheap "jump packs"
they cancelled all the extended warranty's because they were so bad, and if you went back in with a problem, they just refunded you the cost of the warranty.
but, dang some stuff at Lowes is $10,and it is $2 at HF, like electrical outlet triple taps and stuff
