Hey DieselDude4x4.

Don't you collect old John Deere's? I used to be in it a lot but I got burned out and sold em all. I am looking to get back in. Now I know you like my D-500. Have you got something running or not running that you might want to trade? Come on buddy ??? ;D

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

I got a JD 60 Row Crop that I paid $1800 for in Wisconsin. The starter needs a new drive. It needs a radiator core and the power steering pump rebuilt. The sheet metal has two holes drilled in it like they had something bolted to it at one time but other than that is straight. The rear tires are in very good condition. The fronts are shot and the one front wheel has a home made center in it. Both fronts need replaced. The engine runs very well once you pull start it and the charging system even works. All in all, it is a very restorable tractor with a little mech work. The radiator cores are about $175 from Stephens Ag Parts. I had to put one in my JD 60 Orchard which takes the same core. I would offer you that one but I got over $3200 in it. I've done a lot of work on it already. The 60 RC is on the trailer and is shown in my photo album if you want to look at it. The other two JD's are way up in the $6000 and $7000 dollar range just by what I have in them. Take a look and lets talk. I also have four red tractors.

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

I'll make you a deal you can't refuse since I am a nice guy. If you get the truck running so I can drive it up on the trailer and make sure the brakes will stop me a couple times, I will trade even up for the 60 Row Crop. Course that will make my son mad cause he likes the 60 Row Crop but he'll like the 500 better. On the Orchard now, we may have to talk.

Once we get out of this ice age we're in right now around here, I'll uncover it and get you some close up pics.

Cool?

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

Ok, Sounds lika good plan my friend. I'll get that 4-barrel/intake on there and get er operating, and get the brakes working halfway decent and we'll make a trade. I'll take some more pics of it and post em for you. Where do you live again? Maybe we could both load up and meet somewhere in the middle? Get me some more pics as soon as you can. I can haul my 4600 along to assist in the loading/unloading of the 60.

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

It's real funny how stuff like this works. Just last night our salesmanager at our Chevy store were talking about how his dad used to rent a 60 row crop to pull a silage chopper and I said how I'd really like to have a nice 60 or 70 to use for a play toy. I'ts crazy how this stuff happens

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

I'm a barterer from way back for sure.
The 60 will need a little tug to get running only becasue the starter drive is slipping and won't turn the engine over. I was amazed at how well the tractor runs but of course the young fellow took it right out of the field and drove it up on my trailer the day I bought it and picked it up. He was trying to raise some college money and had to sell some of his tools. He had a 60 RC wide front I wanted but he wouldn't part with it. I know where there is one of about 70, 60 High Crops within about three hours of here and he won't even talk about parting with it.

I am about 40 miles below Richmond Va. I come out 64 so we could pick a half way point along the line.

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

We could probably meet somewhere about75 miles east of lexington, that would be about half way for both of us. Like I said I'll bring the 4600 to give the D-500 a push on to your trailer cause I think it will probably spin the tires getting on to a deck over trailer like yours since it has no weight over the rears. 8)

You can see several of them in my photo album at the pulls here on the site. You can also go to www.yesterdaystractors.com and do a search under Joel Williams in the tractor photos section to see the rest of my toys. Don't have the first attachment for any of them and don't want any. Just big toys is all they are.
