I just dont understand you people and your gas grilles lol...granted I know charcoal takes longer, but by god its worth the wait, the only other thing we have ever used to grill with besides charcoal is mesquite...i wouldnt even know how to ignite a propane grill..but gimmie some bricks, fluid and a bic n im good to go

Propane is the fuel of the gods, man...

Lowers EGT's and NOx, but raises power output and CO and HC emissions...
(Although now I'm wondering how charcoal fumigation on a Diesel engine would affect things. Hmm...)

I second the charcoal is better than propane comment, though. Even though I don't own a bar-b-que.

Charcoal is better. Having said this, i use the nat. gas that is piped up to the house...... it is wonderful to not have to worry about the propane tanks running out..... and its faster than charcoal......
