i am in western washington. snow sunday and monday. several inches. then 2 days of freezing temps. yesterday's high=27*. last nights low=14*. this evening 4-6" of snow expected. did i mention it is still 25* here at work?
this is washington. supposed to be wet. this isnt minnesota!
oh well it is fun, except for the 40' bus i drive to work at 5:45am. I got to enjoy the feeling of sliding backwards down hill with 40 passengers. It was rather fun. i had the 4way flashers on, back up lights and beeper on, sliding down hill, and idiots in cars are still driving up the hill behind me with me sliding at them.

Just as long as it's cleared up for flights leaving the weekend of the 9th, my butt WILL go to Cancun!
I'm thinking old Smokey is going to spend tomorrow in the warm confines of the shop, as much fun as a turned up 12v is to drive, I'm not going to tempt fate with a drive to work in it tomorrow. I'll be Jeeping in.

.... and we thought we had it rough with these forecast temps for the reminder of this week:
# Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 44F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
# Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms possible. High 77F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
# Tomorrow night: Isolated thunderstorms during the evening hours. Skies will become partly cloudy overnight. Low near 45F. Winds ENE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
# Friday: Partly cloudy. High 66F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph. High 66, low 42.
# Saturday: A few clouds. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low 40s.
# Sunday: More sun than clouds. Highs in the upper 60s and lows in the low 40s
Even with those low temps, the sun is hot which means that by 10 a.m. I need the A/C on in the truck.

its already freezing rain and lightning here with spurts of flurries. Ice is thick enough on the windows of the house on the north side that you can't see out of them. calling for 2-4 inches of accum. with localized up to 6in. Did I mention that it only got down to 70 last night and that it was 79 till about 1:30 or a little after? It truly does change in 10 minutes around here. It's crazy that it does this and by monday it'll more than likely be back in the 60's. Its really no fun getting called out to the oil field after the sun goes down in the freezing rain but I just did for the second time tonight. peace and becareful across the country since winter has decided to make such an abrupt appearance.

Donuts donuts donuts...I love to do donuts!
The the ice has finally turned into snow. We are supposed to get 8 to 12 inches today by 8PM. All I know is that it is colder than an snowman's toenails over here! I stopped to help some pour soul out this morning but the little car in the ditch had already been abandoned. I sure don't know why I stop to help folks out cause no one ever stops to help me....hopefully St. Peter is keeping tabs!!!
