Has Anyone Heard of Arctic Cat 250 4x4 Steering Problems?

I'm posting this message for a friend of mine back home (I'm at school) who's having some problems with a late model Arctic Cat 250 4x4.

I haven't seen it myself, so I'm sorry for the crude description...

Supposedly, the tie rod end mounts into a short, flat piece of steel that then runs to a mounting surface...the tie rod mounts to a flat piece of steel with a balljoint. The flat piece of steel then connects to the knuckle.

The flat piece of steel is shearing off where it connects to the knuckle...

Anyways, that flat piece of steel has sheared-off twice at its mounting surface and they can't figure out what is causing this problem...they just use it for hunting and occasional recreational riding, but nothing extreme.

Thank you.

I have the solution your friend is looking for. Sell that thing and buy a different brand. I have talked to several people with Artic cats and the quality just isnt there.
