Tell you what, under $1 a foot is one heck of a deal! I paid $2.70 for 2 3/4" Oak!
I have been investigating flooring for my new pad, it seems to be closer to $4.00 a foot for most anything in "wide" width I look at?? What's with that?
Not to hi-jack, but anyone have any expierence with random width?

I figured as much. I was nitpicky about where and how my joints were placed on standard width stuff.

Random width certainly takes some planning.
One thing that has not been mentioned is to screw the subfloor down. This will ensure an almost squeak free floor. I don't paper between the flooring and subfloor.
