Ah yes, the true juice. But, just for grins, the occasional tangle with 480 v (my current((no pun intended)) work assignment) will leave a lasting impression. For those not in the know, 110v, 220v will kick you loose when you get bit. 480v and above hold you into the circuit. It can be a very lasting effect. Permanently.
~dave

NWDave,
Remember the 480 very well. It was quite a day when the shore power cables shorted out against the hull. Really nice light show, until we had to start clearing the area.

Jbolt: Where can I order on of those sweet hearts? Just gotta have one, ya know.

Shortround: Did you get all three legs or just one? All three should have caused some time for the welders. 3 phases shorted will melt metal (have the lug wrench to prove it, a souvenier from apprenticeship days).

~Dave

Dave- My 5 year old daughter says I have to make her a pink kitty with glowing eyes before I make any more blue sheep.

Re:Happens every year!

Dave,
All three legs. Extended us in the yard about a week till they rebuilt the hatch coaming. The only time I've ever seen the old man more ****** was while he was on leave, the yard removed the bow planes and when he got back, "someone" had painted a really nice band-aid on the bow where they used to be.
Those were the days. Loved those yard times at NNSY&DD and EB. Loved the time on the Virginia when they hoisted a missile from the magazine to the launch rail. Only problem was the hatch was too small, but that's another story.
