It has version 2.0 Bluetooth.
I work at an ATT dealer and pretty much all of our phones work with car bluetooth systems. I've never tried to hook up a nextel phone to a car but If I had to guess its probably because it doesnt have the nessceary bluetooth profile that the car kit needs. Most car kit need to able transfer info over bluetooth using the FTP protocol to have full functionality.
