our oldest is 9 or so.

we did our "night time routine" of shutting off TV, turning off lights, wife went & got in PJ's

old dog got up, all stiff, and went in, laid by the bed,
and waited

the wife came back to print out something she forgot on my computer,

and the dog got up,
came in, set down and looked at us like "who the heck is in charge here, and why ain't we all asleep?"

a good dog is a wonderful thing.
