Texas CTD said " Some people will "Stack" anything..."
Roger that.... I had to add this-
34 years ago, the Ol' man wanted to put Stacks on his Ranchero...cause he thought it would be cool, and he liked the Lil Red Express Dodges.
I couldnt get him to stop smoking, but I did talk him out of screwing up the exhaust on a perfectly fine 351 Cobra Jet.
Can only imagine what he would be messing with if still with us....

What ?? The stacks ??
They have been putting stacks on gassers since the 70's .... not something unique to diesels by any means. Heck, Dodge offered them on The Lil Red Express back in the day ... looked pretty hot and became a collectors item. Had a buddy back in high school (84-85) with a set on a stepside Chevy that was flat out awesome !!
Now, if it was on a Volkswagen Beetle ... that would strike me as odd.
Cheers,

I have actually thought of doing this to a Kubota RTV diesel utility cart.

note that it is the great state of nevada...
where anything goes in 'Vegas and they can't find a billionaire....
have a lot of rednecks here in central new york state, exhaust (if optional) is functional but the stacks are from older vehicle exhaust pipes. yeah, you can hear 'em coming up the mountain...no police to be seen.
I think stacks on my '69 cub cadet mower would be cool, but I'll wait for the golf car pics.....that pic of the white car from Florida was just whacked! LOL

I can't for the life of me, figure out why people put stacks on ANYTHING. If ya want your truck to look like a 'big rig', then buy a big rig! (Altho I gotta admit, the mustang looks pretty cool!)

First time posting a pic on this forum, so be patient if it takes me a few tries...
Anyhow, the golfcart is a Cushman turfster with a 36 HP twin, 3-speed manual, and a Flowmaster exhaust with a 3" stack.
Sadly, I have to sell it. My cabin is no more, so I have no use for it.

There is one legitimate reason for stacks. Those of us who live in the truly cold climates know what it's like to be blinded by clouds of exhaust from side-exiting pipes. My driveway's narrow, and in the winter I have to back in because on a cold start, the exhaust blinds me on the right side. With stacks, it is a non-issue.

Another reason for stacks.. Working on the back of the truck. Welder, flatdeck etc. is nice to be able to work around the truck without being gassed.
