Green Egg... who's got one?
#16
My friend in Alabama has one. Same one he had here in Texas when they lived here at that was at least 10 years ago. About the only thing he had to replace is the gasket seal. That thing cooks great, get's hot fast, and uses way less charcoal. He uses the natural charcoal (not the briquet type). When you finish cooking, close it up and the fire goes out. He starts it with a $9 heating element from Wally World.

Always use natural hardwood lump charcoal and never any kind of briquettes with fillers or lighter fluid . I use a mapp gas torch to start mine and then just let it draft naturally and within a few minutes you are ready to cook . I use mine at least 5 times a week for anything from weekend breakfest to cooking on it with a wok . By far the best steak cooking machine I have ever had . I even have a homemade transporter for my small and it travels anywhere I might go . Best investment I have made in a long time .

That is very good as I was just quoted $749.00 for a new large plus $124.99 for the nest . I am adding another large to my collection but will wait for the Waldorf Md Eggfest in May and get one there . I am not quite sure why it will take a month to get as all the dealers around here have plenty of them in stock . Good luck and Happy cooking .
