Grandpa died today...
Even though I'm 42, stuff like this is sure hard. He is in a much better place though, he had heart failure, lung failure, kidneys shut down and was arguably the meanest person I've ever seen. His living will stated a DNR and for him to be "comfortable" (thats what I would want), I've never seen anyone in so much pain and suffering. It was sad, very sad. They pumped him full of pain meds and for 3 days he suffered allot (I've never seen anything so heart-wrenching), the last day was when he finally settled down and passed away peacefully this morning at 5.
Our family is so small and it just got smaller. He is finally at peace.
God speed.

Sorry to hear of your loss, never easy to lose family. Lost my last aunt 2 weeks ago, gonna miss her a bunch. Find comfort in your memories of your grandpa and in knowing he's pain free today.

Thoughts and prayers to you and your whole family. It is hard. My grandma died last year just after thanksgiving. Only have 1 grandparent left and I wished I could get up to Washington to see her.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
The loss of a family member is always hard, no matter what age you are. The saying "time heals all wounds" is true, but at the moment of loss and for a while afterwards it seems that nothing will heal the wound. I know this from personal experience.
My condolences to you and your family.
