If you already have a laptop just buy Delorme Street Atlas and take off the GPS reciever plugs into your usb port I have used several GPS units and for me the Delorme is the best. Plus the screen is as big as your laptop you can actually see it. The program is roughly 100 bucks this is the cheapest and most reliable way to go if you already have a laptop. If you buy street atlas plus it gives you the capability to download lat/long from a spread sheet such as excell it also has the phone listings for homes and businesses you just click on a street and pick phone and it gives you all the numbers for the block. YOu can click draw then download the file and it will draw in pipelines etc... You can also share files if you are using it for work you just click on the draw file then email it to your coworkers and you all have the same map.
