Got the old man out fishin today.....
Well I got the 10 hrs of breakin done on my newly repaired motor. And then took the old man out trolling for some striped bass. They are starting, no large #'s of them yet, but they will be migrating through in the next few weeks. Here are some pics for ya, the first 2 pics are of the old man with his 27 lb'er, the third one is of the 35 lb'er. Both released to fight another day![guitarist](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/guitarist.gif)
getting a measurement on the length... appx 40 inches

this guy is such a ham in front of the camera

getting the officially unofficial weight of 35.5 lbs...notice how he lost a layer of clothing, due to building up a sweat from fighting the first fish![Laughing](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/laughing.gif)

We really need to start taking better pictures, but my main concern is always getting these fish swimming again while they still have some fight in them. Maybe next time.

Thanks buddy, yeah we do keep one or two a year, but usually the ones closer to the legal size limit of 28" (they taste better when smaller and younger anyway). The bigger females like these are the breeders and releasing them helps maintain the stocks. They put up one heck of a fight though.
