I modified the throttle housing and built a bracket to hold the WOT switch. I'll wire in a 5 amp aircraft circuit breaker as the arming switch, that way when I warm up the bike and hit the burn out lane I won't be using any nitrous. When I stage, I'll push in the circuit breaker and as soon as the throttle is wide open- the nitrous will be injected. I'm thinking the ol 500 should be in the 90- 100 H.P range on the bottle. Some of the guys in the 0-700 class run bikes with GSXR 600's stuffed in them- heck a couple run the old XS650's on nitromethane. So, to be competetive, I've chosen to keep the 500 as it's lighter than theirs and easier to horse around. The nitrous is to make up for the serious power advantage the twins and 4 bangers have.
