My buddies friend owns almond orchards and purchased a device similar to the gas injection system described. He uses it primarily for ground squirrels that can cause major damage if not controlled. My buddy says it's treat to watch it fire and see the occasional pest fly into the air.

I've seen bone dry grass ignited by the muzzle flash of a shot gun. Using that machine during a red flag warning is .......er....stoopid.

Please don't put me in that category.

I think I figured out how to blow up the varmints without igniting my woodshed. Let's say it'll be a combination hydro-pyro attack.

Watching the vid TRad posted I saw a few clips where they were exploding next to some red flags in the ground. It made me think that you might should be careful if you've got gas and water lines running around. It wouldn't be good to rupture one of those.

I remember that fire well, it was a few miles from me and the photographer they credit (Chuck Szmurlo) works at the same company I do.
