matego, the WR is as you explained. it lacks mid range power, low end is good when putting around or climbing, the top end absolutely screams when you hammer it. So it rides smooth until you nail it, then it'll come to life all the way to 13,500 rpm. It has paid for itself countless times, its just about indestructable if its maintained. And the headlight is nice and bright. When we have our riding parties at my land, we tend to get toasted and night ride. Much more dangerous, but much more fun!
I will not knck the 2 strokes, when i dropped my YFZ off at the dealership today the service manager (a good buddy) let me take his Banshee for a spin, and its absolutely freakin nuts!!! It loves 2 wheels, if it was mine it'd be making a permanent wheelie lol!!! I just know that the rebuild intervals are more important to 2 strokes, having to change to sets of oil, and keeping them in constant tune in the different weathers makes it a weekend affair.

Imagine my pain when I had to get rid of my 409 Banshee for the Honda 400EX The g/f needed something to ride and the Banshee was way too much. I am more dirtbike than ATV but I think it is necessary to have both. You dont need balance on a ATV for the "fun" night rides like you explained
One time we had too much and we strapped flashlights on out helmets and went up the hillclimbs only seeing 10ft in front of you I still want a Rhino and will probably pick one up soon. Here are some pics of where we ride. It is 20k acres owned by the Reading coal co. and it is ride at your own risk. Most of it is trails and I have 84 mi. of different trails on my GPS. Here is a vid of my friend on his YZ not quite making it! http://youtube.com/watch?v=UfhLOP4__I8&feature=related

Nice pics. We have some hills, but nothing drastic. We head for the water, drive through ponds (and lakes) mud and general ggofing around and trail riding. we also do our goofy military tactics ( that's the beers fault)
