Shame there's no 500 mcm left on that roll either (make great napkin rings if ya strip the jacket right)

Yeah, you're right there. However, I've found that the ones that have Fiber Optics wrapped around them are usually the best ones for being in good shape. How to pis* off an electrician: Get three 1000 foot runs of 500 mcm, put on different sizes of wood spools, feed into a ground vault to a 4" conduit run and be the top guy trying to keep the wire feed going in without twisting and equal in length. :'( :'( :'( Now where's that bucket of elephant snot???

Count your blessings Dave, I'd rather be back in a hard hat doing line pulls, than answering maintenance calls to make minor adjustments to worn-out machinery on the behalf of operators too stupid to do their own jobs...

Re:Gonzo's picnic table.......
There wasn't much that wasn't set ablaze that I rolled down main street.
What was really odd is the dang RCMPolice always came to my folks house to ask about 'certain' things that happened the night before. :-X
Now we take a spool thats about 4 ft wide inside...stand it up and try to get it up six steps...each 6 inches high and 5 ft long. Theres always some cable on and it weighs 1200 Kilograms. Makes the face turn red. I kept thinking it would be a harder event if it was burning!
I think I might go visit Gonzo and practice a bit.
