This is the second time in 15 years that GM has dropped thier medium duty truck. wait around 10 years, they will be back, made in a different country, perhaps?

They said on yahoo news that part of the reason was that the Dodge 4500 and 5500 had took away too many sales. IIRC final sales figure for the GM medium duty line last year was ony 22,000 trucks.

No , they made trucks for Isuzu . They were built in the same Flint plant Silverados are made in . Just hope Fiat doesn't decide to drop or sell off Dodge medium duties .

I dont see many medium duty trucks around here, but the ones you do see are baby freights or Fords.

Don't believe that I've ever seen one of those GM medium Duties out and about that I've noticed, but I have got to say, that those pictured in the link are the ugliest things I've ever seen (and thats including sme of my drunken nights!)

We have one at the Fire Dept as a mini pumper. 2006 C5500 with the 6.6 duramax and 5 speed allision. It is a good truck but underpowered with the 6.6.

are you sure it was Dodge...? Since the 4500/5500 dodges have come out I can count the number ive seen on the road on one hand. FORD would make sense, F-450's and F-550's are everywhere...

Actually, I've been seeing a respectable number of 4500/5500 trucks in positions that used to be pre-dominantly Ford. Especially in the wreckers and fleet service truck areas. Granted they are still way out numbered by Fords, but they look to being making headway.

i hardly ever see a 4500/5500 dodges around here. Everything is a Ford or Chevy. There is not even a medium duty Dodge supplier close to me.
