any one have advice on how to get the starter to fling out the gear to turn the fly wheel? i just had the motor out and cleaned it up and installed it and the starter turns now but dosent protrude out( it never worked before) now i tapped it a whew times to see if it will loosen up then i rocked it back in fourth to see if the fly wheel was in the way, but still nothing, any advice?

For my Honda snowblower, after I had cleaned the starter up I put it in a vise and used an old extension cord to power it. After a few times the gear started flinging out like it was supposed to. Now it doesnt work perfect but does work.
