I'm feeling better now!
It seems that our Governor declared a state of emergency Friday afternoon. The local TV stations are running their blogs and requesting that people contact them if they feel they were gouged. The AG has stated that the law in Alabama is designed to allow punitive action for those that would try to unduly prosper from the misfortune of others in a situation like this. Score one for the good guys, maybe some of these greedy folks will get a little payback now!

Oh there is already one station way up here in DFW that ill never buy another drop of fuel from.
As I said in the Fuel section, I give it one, maybe two more instances of this happening and youll see violence break out over it. The entire nation is in an utter outrage over this.

Spooler, the crooks are still here too but at least now somebody's looking at them. If it makes you feel any better, diesel is still $4.79 here and regular is $4.29 in most places.

Gas went from $3.70 per gallon thursday to $4.39 per gallon today. Diesel dropped from $4.39 to $4.29. The barrel price is $100 now. And they say there is no price gouging, HA! I'm done.

Some stations are reporting that they're running low on gas supplies, others are totally out.
Also they're being told that their next shipments will be much more expensive, and may be late arriving due to the refineries shutting down for the storm.

Gas jumped in Saskatchewan and all of Canada because of the hurricane? I think that the profiteers are on another rip off the consumer kick with us. There are several refinery's here and only 15% of our fuel/oil heads to the USA so why do we get hit too? Whats really strange is diesel dropped when gas went up. Makes no sense to me.
I feel real bad for the folks that got hit. My brother lives in Houston. Its just not fair that they and people thousands of miles away and in a different country should take a hit for someone's pocket book.

I talked to a buddy just south of B'ham an hour ago. He said regular was down to $3.79 at one station and at another diesel had dropped to $3.85. That diesel price is cheaper than before the dang storm. Most places around here are now holding in the $3.99 - 4.19 range for regular.

I guess I don't understand.........
Usage is down and, supposedly, there is plenty of gas in reserve due to this. Who knows if this reserve will last for the ten days, or so, until the refineries are back up? You would think that with usage down, they could replenish the reserves before running low again. ?????????
