I know these vehicles are popular and figured there might be some DTR members with these in their stable.

Here is a part of the article:
DETROIT (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co. said Thursday it was recalling about 792,000 pickup trucks and sport/utility vehicles because of a fire risk from overheating of the speed control switch.
The recall involves some of Ford (Research)'s biggest money-makers, 2000 model-year F-150 pickup trucks, Expedition and Navigator SUVs, and 2001 model-year F-Series Supercrew pickup trucks equipped with speed control.

Maybe, just MAYBE, if there weren't as many bean counters all over the place then there wouldn't be so many recalls. It's always some little thing that some pencil pusher decided to buy for a cent cheaper that causes problems. Hate that mentality.

I just hope the only ones that lose their jobs are the ones that decided to save the one cent and use the cheaper switch. This stuff usually back fires though and people that don't deserve it lose their jobs. Even if it is a Ford, I hate to see this happen to anyone, not to mention the people that lost homes and belongings because of this issue.
Good luck to all.
Good luck to all.
