Furd breakdowns

While driving from Alabama back to Nashville today I past several Furds in distress . I wish I had my camera . A one ton trying to pull 3 small cars on a car hauler ( big puddle of oil under truck ! ) . A one ton broken down pulling a tractor pull truck . A 3/4 ton pulling a small utility trailor with the hood up . A 3/4 ton pulling a camper . They all looked to be fairly new Furds.

You could have stopped and HELPed them
You never know when you may need something on the side of the road
You may want to get a cheap Digital camera and keep it in the truck so yo can document this type of stuff later on

Well on the other hand, a couple months ago I took a trip to Mississippi and was apalled to see Dodge after Dodge, with large trailers attached, sitting on the side of the road. You just never know when it will be you.........

I remember once when I drove my Lime Green Road Runner as a daily driver. I was having some problems on the side of the road and some guys in a Chevelle drove by yelling that MOPAR Sucks! They could have at least helped me then told me that...

I'd gladly stop if I thought there was something I could do!

I figure anyone w/ enough $$$ to drop on a 6.0 probably has a cell phone and already has help on the way... and if Ford can't get them to run right, *** am I gonna do?!

on the other hand, I stopped and helped a guy and his wife get their first gen CTD rolling recently... they were stopped on the side of the road. I exited and backed down the access rd about 1/8 mile. they were pulling a big horse trailer, and he said the thing just died. we messed w/ it for a while... ended up being poor current to the shutoff solenoid due to corroded battery terminals/cables.

I try to stop and help as many people as possible, but really... what am I gonna do w/ a broke down 6.0?

The ones I saw were all CTDs. If they don't have a CTD I don't consider it a truck! It's just a big car with a big engine.....

And if it's not 4x4,
then its a big car with a big engine and a really big open air trunk.

I call it a convertable trunk option.

I certainly hope my friend's 6.0 doesn't give him any trouble... that thing is SO packed in there, even changing the air filter is gonna be a big hassle!

When we were at the Claremont get-together back in July timinva was replacing a turbo on a 6.0. The turbo is centered on top and at the rear of the engine! It sure looked like a pain to work on but Tim got it done. I don't know what kind of turbo it was or if something was wrong with it but mine made more power than it did after the replacement turbo..
