Maybe she was looking at a picture of me, ever think about that?

I'd miss it too. The -40 temperatures, 30 mph winds, sideways snow, perpetual darkness... but it only lasts 9 months. That's why I never moved up there. The season isn't long enough.

Evening all. Lotsa busy-ness here. Next week *should* be better.

Evening, the snow missed us. It was sunny all day here until I left work and maybe an inch fell. Now one county over to west between a foot and 20 inches fell. My brother in law said his 1 hr commute took over 4 hrs this afternoon. I'm glad I work on the other side of town and it only takes me 15 min on a bad day to get to work.

-10 hours of badger badger badger!!?? Need a copy sent to the stockade at Gitmo.
-Wouldn't that also cause an upset stomach?

For about three months out of the year I try telling myself that the other 9 months are worth it.
I may need another Lobotomy if I make it through another winter.

Aficionados??????? Ummm, will not go there! Thanks for the coffee anyway. Howcum the muffins are so hard? Almost need one of chikiwas chainsaws to cut it.

Boy, I sure feel for all you guys up in the NE. It is for reasons like that that I moved to where I am. My truck has never seen s-n-o-w or i-c-e or salty roads. Mud is another story. Will not say anything about the cloudless day or 24C (75F) day forecast for today. Nor will I mention the shorts that I will be going out with in a few hours. Just for you weird thinkers here, NO, I am NOT going out with Shorts!

Been very busy. Too busy to even stop by and sample what passes for coffee here and read about the daily shenanigans that you 'aficionados' are getting in to.

Ciao for now.

Just a quick pass through. Railroad - that doesn't look like much fun at all. I know Canada and the US have a free-trade agreement but I but those of you in the north-east wish we would keep our polar vortices north of the border.

Hey RR1 and Top, I hvae been watching a new show on TV, it is called Appalachian Outlaws and it is mostly filmed in WV. Intersting bunch of folks y'all hang around with

Stay safe everyone.

It is the exception to get over 30C (86F) here. At 32, everybody is "dying" of the heat. At least when it gets that hot here, the humidity is normally in the low teens. I have no central heat or A/C in my house.

Hey, so will we - - laying on our lounge in the lanai with an ice tea, good book, fan gently blowing, and dip in the pool often and swim some laps - - the good life. In the winter, laying on the lounge, ph00, watering the plants, listening to the birds, reading a book. It's tough man, but someone has to do it. ...............

OK, back to the lanai. See ya.

Bob

Another insanely warm day in the tropics of Alaska. Had some minor flooding in the yard. Found out there is a creek behind the houses across the street.

Sure wouldn't want a flat roof this year. Want to buy a snowmachine?

Afternoon all,

I believe you meant contourable like the contourable diapers that some of our members wear.

Neat. Had dreams last night about finding nuggets in the grout of the masonry blocks of my house.

I don't usually follow much sports but the kids got me following the Seahawks again when we were in Seattle.

You're gonna wish you had heat when the polar vortex shifts that far south due to the climate change and polar shift caused by the industrialization of our world!

And no one even badgered you either!

Afternoon all.

Slippery roads here. They look okay, but I was going up a hill on the highway, behind a tractor trailer and noticed the tractor heading in one direction and the trailer trying to head in another. Driver did a good job getting it back together. It was then I noticed my engine RPM's up to about 3500 and the tranny hadn't downshifted nor had I increased in speed. I'm amazed the man-van stayed in a straight line too.

I strongly dislike this winter crap!
