Which fries you like?

Re:Which fries you like?
In and Out Burger does the same and they do some pretty good fries, as for me personally, after doing a deep fried cajun turkey, I bring out my spiral cut curly fry cutter, hang a couple of big russets on , crank them through and drop them in the hot oil for a couple of minutes, bring them back out for about 10 minutes, then drop them back in to crisp up the outsides.
They were a big hit at a Norcal diesel event we had a few years back.....
a quicker way is to throw some cajun spices into your frying oil and do the spuds the same way, almost as good as taking the spuds through the turkey oil.

Big Jake nails it! Frying twice is how you make the serious fries. Only thing you might add is soaking them in water a bit before frying. The perfect fry needs no condiment, but there are a bunch of Belgian fry places in NYC that have interesting ketchups. The garlic ketchup is pretty good.

Got a little German in ya? (I meant your family tree! : )
I was asking about fast food, but my favorite all time would be homemade with the skins on and vinegar.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Interesting that nobody has mentioned Whataburger fries. I like them, and their burgers. Whenever we cross the border and are hungry after many hours on the road we always stop at a Whataburger. Wish they had them where I live instead of the bottomofthefoodchainMcDonalds.

Re:Which fries you like?
If I hadn't eaten in weeks, I would still drive right on by the Whataburger....(long story)
Personal favorite: Jack in the Box fries, with In-N-Out running a close second. Bottom of the list: McDogdoodoo and Burger Thing.....
On second thought, I'll eat just about any form of fried potato. Must be my midwestern roots showin'.......

Re:Which fries you like?
I like Burger King fries, but my wife can make a meal out of McDonald's fries. Most of the time we end up at McDonald's because of that.

The fries from the "Happy Friar" concession stand at Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. Fresh cut, skins left on, fried (twice?), coated with vinegar and sea salt.

I've been itchin to get down there lately, last time I was there, the Demon drop was new.
Tony,
maybe we should start thinking about getting a convoy headed that way next summer, since nothing happened this year.
