Caught you didn't I, you thought you were actually going to get something for free. The stone I am referring to is inside, me that is. Started acting up about lunch time Friday and put me on the floor on several ocassions. Finaly broke down and went to the ER Saturday morning about 0500. Did a CT, yep, there it is, 8mm stone on one side. I've had them before but not as bad as this one. It was like a hot dull knife being stabbed in and out several times. At least they gave me some real good drugs to numb the pain while I was waiting. I don't know what that was but one shot and I was just wandering around behind the little animals.
Still hurting pretty bad but I got to get rid of this mess before the weekend, Suppose to go get the rig this weekend for sure. Think I'll go back for another CT to see if it is gone today.

Can they do that ultrasonic thing to help break it up? 8mm would be quite the lump to be coming out of your dingle dangle!

A friend of mine had them. He told me that hurt like the double hockey sticks and the drugs didn't make them stop hurting, but made him not care about the pain anymore.

My wife has had 3 kids by natural childbirth and passed a stone.

She says that a stone is as bad if not worse than childbirth.

And her stone wasn't an overly large stone.

She says it's a different kind of pain.

But if given a choise she would rather give chilbirth.

I haven't given birth , but I was wondering if I was in the next alien movie with a couple of them.

I've passed small and medium sized stones.

I'm just waiting for The Big One

I have had 9 episodes with those little buggers. The feel-good stuff that they gave you is probably Demerol. Wonderful stuff when that stone starts to move. I'll keep you in my prayers. Once the stone passes (or they break it up) you feel better immediately. I really hope that things clear up in time for you to go get the truck!

Yep ,it’s about like peeing grass burrs.

 

Well, went back to the ER Sunday morning early and checked in for the night. Filed me with morphine on one of those automatic things where you shoot it yourself. Went through umpteen x-rays and yep, it's still stuck. They went in and put a stint in to help the kidney drain around the stone. If it dom't move by Thursday, I gotta go have it blasted out. They sent me home with some more good stuff. I am surely hooping it passes soon. Doctor C said the biggest one he has seen pass successfully is a 9 mm so he thinks this one may go to.

gsdog, I can't remember what colot it is, it's been gone so long. I'm pretty partiall to it. JP says it will be in the 425 HP range which is good since I just put a brand new 350 hp SB clutch in, actually, Keith did.

DPG, the stuff tyhe gave me Saturday morn was Dilaudid or something close to that.
