Great, Now I'll be able to buy a Hummer that will burst into flame on impact.

Maybe they'll come out with a new Mustero.

Nope.

Of all the above, I've only owned a Ford pickup, many moons ago.
Many, many moons.

Sounds like a smart move for both of them but I will not believe it until I see it . The money it would save both of them would be tremendous , might even get them into the black again . The Ford family giving up full control of a dead horse after all these years would be something to see .

Im still blown away they let Ford Jr run that outfit. What a mess it is in now.

GM on the other hand has a chance.

In the not too distant future the Japs will be hurting so bad from an overload of national debt that the country will cease to be what it is now. Most dont know it, but they have twice the defecit we have per person and there is no way they will ever get it paid down. No natural resources and massive debt.......they are heading the way of the dinosaur in the coming decades.

Last I checked the Japs were 130 million strong compared to our 300 million and their national debt exceeds 9 trillion to our 8.5 trillion.

put a real automotive and hunting department in it along with the new vehicles then it would be a true one-stop-shop for everything!

Death throes of the once unassailable American Automotive Industry.

I sure hope not...

Yup, I can't wait for the new Ford Corvette, and Pontiac Mustang . What are they thinking . I know times are bad at Ford, but I would think that a merger with GM would be the absolute last option.
