Flame From The Stack

i was watching an episode of trick my truck the other night and they pulled up in a bobtail and both of the stacks were shooting flames out of them. it was just sittin idle with a nice smooth burning flame coming out of them. does anyone know how they do that? and it'd be so cool to do to our trucks! especially your stack people! man that's be sweet and then you'd really get the heads turning

I think that system is only for gas engines because it works by cutting out 2 cylinders to let the gas run through the exhaust. I dont think it will or on a diesel.

that episode is suppose to air on the 12 i think. I'm want'n to know just for the cool factor, two of my buddies call me after the second ad on cmt. to let me know about it. hahaha

I've heard of propane injected into the stacks and lit with a sparker.

Hmm . . . Seems that if improperly installed, one could blow the entire exhaust system to pieces!

ya that's the episode where they do it to someone else's truck but this was on the chrome shop's own truck. it was an old re run. but i deffinately wanna see that episode too. so that's the 12th of january?

i remember seeing part of that ep. and if i remember correctly the ah anoter tub that ran inside of the stack all the way to the tip

here is my question
in a gas turbo car with a mass air sensor and atmosphere vented bov....the exhaust fumes will ignite w/sparker ....after reving the car so the bov releases and the xcess unburnt fuel in the exhaust passes the sparker i have a ho made setup on my car.

MY QUESTION IS........are the black clouds diesels smoke as flamible as unburnt exhaust from a gas motor.

the picture is my bro mikey........4 nos selonoids tapped into fuel rail pressure with spark plugs to ignite
