A friend of mine got sited a few weeks back for modified exhaust..6" miter cut stacks...From what he told me they said that his stacks were too short. They are suppose to be 11' to the top. So off to Home-Depot where he bought 2 6" sticks of gray pvc...and cut them so that they would be 11' to the top.
One block from the pd he stops and puts his 11' stacks over his chrome ones..He drove into the pd and had them inspect his stocks..and measure them..THEY SIGNED THEM OFF! After he left he stopped a block away and removed his 11' stacks...
Go figure!
