Ya know, D.D.4x4, I thought I couldn't afford one either, and so I waited several years to buy one, which I did buy new, and ever since I did, I see 1st and 2nd gen rigs going for between 5-10K, dang near every week in the paper. Granted, they are old ranch work trucks, but we all know miles don't matter much on a CTD ;D. Just irks me cause heck, I could have had an old 12V years ago. Now that I think of it, maybe I should but one for hunting ... I nearly cried every time I would get a tree branch scraping down the side of my rig.-Steve

Thats called pinstriping, or more appropriately down here "desert pinstriping". ;D

Yeah, the rig is so dirty, I don't know how extensive the pinstripping is, but w/ this crappy paint job, I'm not sure I want to wash it now :...-Steve

Love the truck, Im actually lookin for one like that. I have a 97 that same color only mines all the same color, But i love that color. My diesel, which parents bought from me so i guess its not really mine but i still get to drive it sometimes..... but its black. Not really all high on the black anymore. But IF anyone sees the maroon truck around for a good pricel et me know! Im 19 as well. College is cheer than expected. but still more than i wanna pay haha by the way, how much was the truck if ya dont mind me askin?

I'll sell ya mine! I actually got a pretty good deal on it because it was wholesaled through my dad's close friend's dealership. I paid $16,500 for it and it had 73,000 miles on it at the time. Its got just over 81,000 now. After I bought it had to put about $1500 into new tires, front end and other things so theres noway I could sell it for less than 18,000. If someone wants it for that, give me a call....if not I don't mind keeping it! I'd have to get that much also so I could buy my 2001 HO! Yeah college isn't much for me but that doesnt mean my insurance and truck payment aren't! I pay about $500 a year to go to a $26,000 school. Gotta love scholarships. I guess working fairly hard in high school paid off.

But if you be patient and just keep looking I'm sure you could snag a good deal. Just gotta be in the right place at the right time...There is a lot of these trucks out there...GOOD LUCK TO YA
