We are looking at The Enclave and The Arbors. 2 bed 2 bath. 800+ sq.ft.
Cool. I lived just down the road from the Enclave my first year at A&M....right there on Holleman in Sevilla Apartments. UGLY apartments...with now windows. ;D Spent a year there....a year in Brazos House Apartments over on Welsh....a year in a fourplex right across Texas Ave. from the Freebirds/Hastings/Pantry....then I got married and moved into a duplex with my wife in that same general area. If you haven't already, you'll learn to love Freebirds.

Nice pool and hot tub.
Yeah...I have nothing good to say about Sevilla except that with me and two guys I went to high school with it was pretty cheap rent. The Enclaves are really nice....but it was out of my price range at the time.

Re:Fighting Rules
Luckily, I'm not paying. My grandpa setup an account for me when I was born almost 18 years ago. That account was strictly for college and for my first car. It has grown quite large over the years. I'm not even allowed to touch it till I'm 35. That account is what payed for my truck and is what is paying for my college. I miss my grandpa. :'(

Re:Fighting Rules
I lived in a Duplex off of Anderson by the school (Aurora Ct). We loved living there--close to campus, grocery, and Freebirds!!! Good area to live in.

Re:Fighting Rules
It depends on the person and on the fight for me some people need a good O'l fashion A$$ whoopin when they get to big for their britches or think they are super hero's and want a piece everyone to look tuff. Today though you are best to keep your hands to yourself you never know when you will be fighting a gang of kids the day after you take one of their members pride (been there) or you'll be staring down the barrel of a .45. Today you just never know with kids what they will pull Im glad Im not in school anymore its way to violent and gang related and just nuts. My kid will definately not go through the public school system its pathetic now adays what kids will do.

This social decline started a long time ago with the hippie/druggie stuff of the 60's. That movement proliferated the "tolerate everything" (including the insane) ideaology, which leads to repect nothing. This evolved into today's militantly anti-intellectualism through intolerance to "absolute value" - such as honesty, integrity, fidelity. Since the only things that are not tolerated or accepted are absolute values, only those are rejected as valid - yet they are the very basis for civilized conduct in societies. There really are two absolutes in existence: good, and evil. That means that there is validity in absolute values, good values such as respect, honesty, etc. lead to good society, while evil values such as disrespect, dishonesty, greed, etc. lead to violent/evil societies. There is no secret in this, just seems that a lot of people haven't realized the connection between philosophy (ethics) and application (living it day to day in one's choices between good values and evil values). It really is as simple as that. I can tell you from personal experience that your decision to place your child in private school is a very good one, for many reasons, not the least of which is a much better curriculum for real education (as opposed to political correctness indoctrination). My hat's off to you for the sacrifice of finances that will take, but I can say that the last two years of high school I went to (private school) I learned more and broadened my range of interest more than the entire 9 years of public school that preceded it.

I hope I didn't offend you. Although, I think Law Enforcement is a tough and thankless job regardless of where you are.

BigBlue,
Another reason not to fight, is your desire to be an Aggie. TAMU (or any other university) WILL pull a criminal background check to see if you have been convicted of a crime. If Assault/Battery shows up, your name jumps waaay out of the admissions hat.
