Re:Fall Colors
Morning Top,
nice colors there. We're just in the foothill of the Washataws (Ouachita for those that can read) and the colors are really coming on. Deer season is coming up in a week and I'm ready. The front porch is cleared off and I've got a good 300 yd field of fire across the garden. All I have to do is fill up the ice chest and wait. Got a nice 8 point and a good sized slick head that's GOT to be harvested. Both are crippled and should fill the freezer nicely. Sure wish it would stop raining.

Absolutely great views. In the first picture, on the fourth ridge over, isn't that the Hatfields?? Are they your nearest neighbors? After 20 + years of service, it's nice to retire to such beautiful country, your's and mine and I know many beautiful areas in Canada as well. Sorta makes it all worth it.

~Dave

SFTopSGT... Made a run to Charleston last weekend to visit my sister, the colors were magnificent!!! Heading west the tops of the mountains were shrouded with fog coming east it was clear. Especially nice just out side Charleston, Whats that gorge name with the high bridge on Interstate 64?? Pretty country out there. I live near the Ches Bay, the folks in Charleston call us flat landers.......

It is the longest arch bridge in the world fantastic achitecture!. Here ia a shot of the bridge, not quite 900 ft to the river below.

Reminds me of the Royal Gorge near Canon City, CO. I think it's something like 1200 ft above the river. Of course, there are tracks underneath but the railroad abandon them about 7 years ago. :'(

Re:Fall Colors
Yeah, but this bridge looks a lot more stout than the Royal Gorge. Drove across the Royal way back when. The pucker factor was way up. We took the long way back.

~Dave

Re:Fall Colors
Beautiful shots, still no rain in CA. but the colors are showing up in the high country. I live about an hour an 1/2 from the south entrance to Yosemite. I cut two cords of oak just outside the boundry this weekend. The dogwoods, oaks and aspens are wonderful.
