Extended Warrenty paid off.
On the truck, one of the quad doors would not close correctly. When close, hard to open. Had the truck in for LOF at dealer on Scottsdale AZ on way to Sedona. Asked about the door. They could do it while in for service. Service writer asked about extened warrenty. I have DC 7 year 75K extened. Just paid the $100.00 deductable on repair.
If that was not enuff, wife in Houston TX, the 05 Chrysler T&C A/C didn't work and overheated when she started in a mall parking lot. Has 39,005 miles in it, just out of the3/36000. Called the extened warrenty CO, United, issued in WA State only. They paid the tow, and the repair. The Water Pump was replaced. Did not pay the rental for a minivan. Also had the heater hose recall done at the same time. Heater hose did not cause the problem.
Both in the same week. The warrenties paid with no hassle.

You know,
I have the same problem with my driver's side quad door right now. It won't open normally! I have to kick it from the inside. I found a very small spring laying on the sill one day and realized that it was probably the spring that releases the latch at the bottom of the door. I can only imagine the hassle that this is going to be.
