Wink Ever wonder why "deer strainers" are popular in Texas?

Why do so many Texans have these:

It's because we have these things running around all over the place:

Funny looking deer and they leave nasty slobber all over the windows

Yep, went down there this morning. First ones through the place. Those were the 2 small giraffes (one a baby, the other a little older). Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is the name of it. Awesome place.

You can tell what trucks run around deer country. If you see a bumper and grille you can bet there are deer around. Or a push gate. Or have a tendancy to run into things.

You better be planning on taking her on a bigger trip than that!! You gotta get free to come to Baytown in October!!! "YES, Dear" "We can go stay in that Bed @ Breakfast in (insert where) as soon as I get back from Houston October 14th and 15th"

I am definately gonna have to make it down to Glen Rose and let my boy see the drive thru animal park. Cute deer, Rob.

Ahhhh....the Long Neck Spotted Deer. I've only seen a few of them in my days. They're smart critters. They always seem to hang out in places where hunting is prohibited.

My understanding is that getting them mounted is a bit on the pricey side.

I'd have to add onto the house just for a neck mount.

Deer extrusion is messy. I extruded a small doe in South Texas back in 97 with my Ranch Hand bmpr. I was ripping along at about 90 MPH around 2AM when she ran out in the hwy. The impact was so hard her head popped off as it wrapped around the top support bar. The expanded metal was filled with little deer meat worms. Much like a fuzzy pumper barber shop set does with playdoh. LOL

Warning: there may be some Texas Tall tales in part of this story.

Don~
